Legendary frontman for the Clash, Joe Strummer is taking his solo act on the road this summer. According to Epitaph Records Joe Strummer & the Mescaleros will kick off a North American tour in Washington D.C. on October 4th.  L.A. fans will get a preview of the tour with the band set to perform at the Greek Theater on August 4th opening for the Brian Setzer.    

The tour is to promote the new Joe Strummer & the Mescaleros album, �Global a Go-Go�. The album will be in US stores on July 24th.  

After the North American tour wraps the band will head to Europe for a series of dates in November.
