It appears that the lineup that gave the blockbuster 80s group Duran Duran their most success have decided to regroup. Simon Le Bon, Nick Rhodes, Roger Taylor, Andy Taylor and John Taylor are getting ready to record together for the first time in fifteen years.
Duran Duran exploded onto the music scene in the early 80s with the help of hit videos on MTV. Duran Durans videos helped turn the promotional vehicle into an art form with their slick performances and story lines.
The last recording released featuring the original line-up was the title track for the James Bond adventure A View to A Kill in 1985. The band then went on hiatus with members jumping into side projects including Arcadia and the Power Station. Since then the band has continued to record and perform with various lineups.
Guitarist Warren Cuccurullo let the reunion
cat out of the bag this month when he Posted a message to his web site
announcing the news. Cuccurullo left his former group Missing Persons to
take over guitar duties with Duran Duran for 1988s Big Thing album.
Now with the reunion of the original members of Duran Duran, Warren is
reuniting with his former Missing Persons bandmates for a summer tour.
