The Osbournes will face off against PBS's Frontier House and American High, HBO's Project Greenlight and Taxicab Confessions, and the Learning Channel's Trauma: Life In The ER.
To see Ozzy and Family take home the gold (so to speak) you will have to tune in to the The 54th Annual Emmy Awards broadcast on September 22.
But the Osbournes joy over the nomination must have been overshadowed by the latest development in Sharon Osbournes battle with cancer. It appears her earlier surgery did not remove all of the cancer from her body and the infection is spreading. In order to battle the disease, Sharon will have to undergo three months of chemotherapy. She is scheduled to begin treatment next week in California.
Sharon reflected on this latest development in an interview with People Magazine, Everything in my life was going so good. It's like I needed something to happen to remind me that I've had it too good...You think nothing will ever happen to you. You're invincible. Then after you get over the shock and panic, you realize how lucky you are to be alive."
Sharon has however kept her sense of humor
and perspective as she joked about including footage of her treatment during
next seasons installment of The Osbournes, "It'll be interesting. I think
I'll bring some music, introduce myself, maybe we can sing some songs and
cheer the place up."
