Marilyn Manson announced last week that longtime bass player Twiggy Ramirez had officially left the band and has been replaced by KMFDMs Tim Skold.

"Twiggy, you will be missed and I truly hope you find something that brings you happiness," wrote Manson in a statement Posted to his website. "I will always be here for you. I mean that."

.... "I have spent eight months transforming this band and our new songs into an unstoppable juggernaut".. Manson

Manson explained the lineup change with the following, "I have spent eight months transforming this band and our new songs into an unstoppable juggernaut, and sadly Twiggy wasn't able to make himself a part of it. Unfortunately, I feel that Marilyn Manson, as a lifestyle is not where his heart is. So I have decided to let him go his own way, otherwise it wouldn't be fair to us, the music, or especially to the fans."

Ramirez joined the group in 1993, replacing original bassist Gidget Gein and the band soon after signed to Trent Reznors Nothing Records. Manson and his current bandmates are set to soon enter the studio to begin recording The Golden Age Of Grotesque, the next studio album from the band that is expected to hit stores by the end of the year.

Bush has made yet another lineup change too!

Fans may have seen it coming since Bush has been touring this year without guitarist Nigel Pulsford but up until now his departure had not been made official. Well it now is official Nigel, who helped found the group in 1993, is out.

Unlike the Twiggy / Manson parting this one appears to be a bit nasty. The Bush camp is playing off the parting as amicable with one press release stating that Nigel left so that he could "spend more time with his family".

Nigal says that he found Bushs statement issued by Gavin Rossdale, "offensive and patronizing." Rossdale's statement basically said, "Nigel chose not to join us on tour this year so that he could spend more time with his family. It transpires that he has been torn between the band and his family for some time. It is a difficult situation for all, yet this has been brewing for ages. Ultimately, we hope it will turn out that everyone has got what they wanted."

But Nigel tells a different story. He told Australian music site Undercover that "out of the blue [he got] a poisonous email from Gavin telling me that he didn't want me to return After the email I was unable to contact any of them and basically left to stew while they were on tour."

Nigel plans to continue in the music business and says that he does not wish his former bandmates any ill will. To replace him Bush has recruited former Helmet guitarist Chris Traynor.

Thats all for this edition of Musical Chairs. Tune in next time to find out who is fighting, who is in, who is out and who no longer matters!
