Los Angeles-based rockers The Wrecks have delivered a new single called "Speed". The track comes from their forthcoming album, "INSIDE", which will arrive on April 11th. Republic Records shared the following details:
"Speed" immediately captivates as an insidiously infectious and identifiable banger. Lightly strummed clean guitar dissolves into a frenetic beat on the verses, mirroring the anxiety in the lyrics. Right out of the gate, frontman Nick Anderson admits, "My heart is palpitating irregularly. Sometimes, I wonder...I wonder if my meds are taking me."
The energy accelerates as a galloping pop-punk groove catapults the chantable chorus forward, "If I could run away, I would, make new friends all new plans." It illuminates the band's knack for an equally provocative and powerhouse hook once again.
Next, the band will embark on their biggest headline run to date, the INSIDE : OUTSIDE Tour. Tickets and VIP are available HERE. They notably handpicked a cohort of dynamic openers, including Quarters of Change as direct support on the majority of dates and Benjamin Carter who will kick off the evening. Meanwhile, Cece Coakley appears on the bill at the May 14 show in Brooklyn, NY at Brooklyn Steel. The INSIDE : OUTSIDE Tour commences on April 18 in Berkeley, CA at The UC Theatre, visits major markets coast-to-coast, and closes out with a hometown gig on May 31 in Los Angeles, CA at The Wiltern.
