Singled Out: Ocean of Another's Ghosts of Broken Oaths ft Leiya of GreyNoise

Croatian metalcore outfit Ocean of Another just released their new single "Ghosts of Broken Oaths" ft Leiya of GreyNoise and to celebrate we asked Dorian Pavlovic to tell us about that track. Here is the story:

Ghosts of Broken Oaths is the first single from our upcoming album I Need to Shed This Skin. Main motives behind the song as well as the album are what it means to be human. In terms of love and lost, fear of death, legacy, anxieties, our own shortcomings and values as a human beings.

We always try to put a personal spin on these subjects, we are not big fans of the whole eternally sad and broken trope so many bands perpetuate to seem deep and emotional. Although we do play with similar cliches often, our main goal is to resolve them. Not to just endlessly perpetuate sadness and brokenness as a self-worship end goal.

As a society we need places of discourse where we can face our anxieties and fears in controlled communal manner. Our end goal is not to become monuments to our own pain, but to learn how to understand our own darkness and to integrate it into being better humans. To evolve our emotional intelligence from the step where we worship and only care about ourselves into the version of humans and humanity that care about everyone and everything equally. Because we are one, we are all a drop in the Ocean Of Another, and we can exist outside the universe, we are all one.

With that being said Ghosts of Broken Oaths tries to show us that love is not a sidetrack while you chase other goals. Love is the main goal. Without love nothing makes sense. Just look at all these loveless billionaires we idolize so much as a society. Do they truly seem happy and content to you? -

Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen and watch for yourself below and learn more here
