(MPG) During his explosive Stagecoach set this past weekend, Charles Wesley Godwin announced that his new song "Better That Way" will feature country superstar Luke Combs and be released on May 15th via Big Loud Records.
In addition to this announcement, Godwin teased a new album from the stage. His set, which was played to a full tent at the Palomino Stage, also featured two guest appearances, Wyatt Flores on the new song "Hey There, Son" and Willow Avalon on fan favorite "Temporary Town." Godwin will be announcing new tour dates soon. pre-save the song here
While it's been two-and-a-half years since his last full length album, his acclaimed Big Loud debut Family Ties, Godwin has stayed busy. In February of last year, he released the Lonely Mountain Town EP, featuring collaborations with ERNEST and Scott Avett of musical heroes The Avett Brothers. In September, he released his first-ever live album, Live From The Steel City. The 23-song album documents a sold-out night at Stage AE in Pittsburgh, PA, in front of 5,550 fans, and serves as a display of the power and energy Godwin and his band the Allegheny High bring to each and every show they play.
Godwin and the High also toured extensively in 2025. They hit Europe and the UK, opened for The Avett Brothers on the West Coast in April, and joined Willie Nelson and Bob Dylan on select Outlaw Music Festival dates in July. After selling out their headline debut at Red Rocks in October, Godwin spent November opening for Eric Church on his "Free The Machine" arena tour.
Godwin will make his CMA Fest debut in June, and play the Under the Big Sky festival in July.
