Former Ozzy Osbourne and David Lee Roth Guitarist Joe Holmes Announces New Album

(Org Musi) Acclaimed guitarist Joe Holmes, known for his tenure with Ozzy Osbourne and David Lee Roth, will release his long awaited self titled album on Friday, June 5, 2026. The new record marks Holmes' first full-length studio project since 2015 and reunites him with several of his former bandmates and collaborators.

Written by Holmes and long time creative partner Brent Hoffort, the album brings together a powerhouse lineup featuring bassist Robert Trujillo, drummer Mike Bordin vocalist Robert Locke. Co produced by Holmes and Rich Mouser, the album was recorded and engineered at Mouser's studio, the Mouse House in Altadena, CA.

"I'm beyond proud of this next record. It's a reunion of my brothers for my self-titled album featuring my Ozzy touring bandmates, Robert and Mike and Robbie returning on vocals with the record written by me and my long-time co-writer, Brent. Also important to me is the working relationship I've built over many decades with Rich Mouser who co-produced and engineered both of my solo records" says Holmes.

The new material builds on the heavy, riff driven foundation Holmes established with his 2015 debut solo project, Farmikos, which featured contributions from Trujillo, drummer Brooks Wackerman, Locke and Hoffort. The upcoming release expands Holmes' signature sound with deeper grooves, sharper dynamics, and the unmistakable chemistry of musicians who have shared the stage and studio for decades.

The album will be available on CD and streaming services June 5, and on vinyl August 28.. All formats are available to preorder now from Org Music here.

A Los Angeles native, Holmes' musical journey began at age nine and led him to study under the legendary Randy Rhoads at the Musonia School of Music. His technical prowess and distinctive style earned him a spot on David Lee Roth's A Little Ain't Enough tour in 1991. From 1995 to 2001, Holmes stepped up as lead guitarist for Ozzy Osbourne, performing alongside a "who's who" of rock royalty, including Geezer Butler, Robert Trujillo, Mike Bordin, and Mike Inez. His return with this new album marks the next chapter in a career defined by precision, power, and an unwavering commitment to the craft of guitar driven heavy music.
