Video From Chris Cornell's Final Concert Goes Online

(hennemusic) Chris Cornell reportedly committed suicide Wednesday night following a performance with Soundgarden at The Fox Theatre in Detroit, MI, and footage from his final show has surfaced online.

The 19-song set mixed classic tracks and hits from the Seattle band's six albums, opening with "Ugly Truth" from 1989's "Louder Than Love", and closing with a two-song finale from 1991's "Badmotorfinger" - "Rusty Cage" and "Slaves And Bulldozers" - which also included a snippet of Led Zeppelin's "In My Time Of Dying" from 1975's "Physical Grafitti."

The Detroit stop was the twelfth date of Soundgarden's month-long spring tour of North America, which was set to wrap up with a festival appearance at Rocklahoma in Pryor, OK on May 27.

Cornell's death has been ruled a suicide by hanging following an autopsy by The Wayne County Medical Examiner's Office. The singer's body was discovered on the floor of the bathroom in his room at the MGM Grand Detroit with a band around his neck.

"The Medical Examiner has completed the autopsy on 52-year-old Chris Cornell, the Soundgarden musician who died last night in Detroit," the office said in a statement Thursday afternoon. "The cause of death has been determined as hanging by suicide. A full autopsy report has not yet been completed. There is no additional information at this time." Watch the video here.

Kesha Writes Shares About Her Eating Disorder Struggles

(Radio.com) Kesha wrote an essay this past Tuesday (May 17) for Teen Vogue where she opened up about overcoming an eating disorder and other personal struggles. The pop star candidly wrote about how the "amount of body-shaming and baseless slut-shaming online" makes her sick.

Reading strangers' cruel words online fed her insecurities and contributed to her eating disorder problem. "It became a vicious cycle: When I compared myself to others, I would read more mean comments, which only fed my anxiety and depression," the singer wrote. "Seeing paparazzi photos of myself and the accompanying catty commentary fueled my eating disorder. The sick irony was that when I was at some of the lowest points in my life, I kept hearing how much better I looked. I knew I was destroying my body with my eating disorder, but the message I was getting was that I was doing great."

She wrote that taking a step back from social media and the damaging comments has helped her overcome her body image struggles. Read more here.

Halsey Discusses The Themes From Forthcoming Album

(Radio.com) Halsey played an intimate performance for a special group of fans earlier this month at the SoCal Honda Sound Stage at 97.1 MP Radio. Her set consisted of tracks from her forthcoming album 'hopeless fountain kingdom' and some throwbacks for her OG fans who have been there from the beginning.

Immediately following the performance she sat down to speak with afternoon drive host, Booker, about her new album, where she finds confidence, and her trust of her fans.

As fans eagerly await the release Halsey's new album, she gave us some insight into what they'll be hearing. "There are 16 songs on the album, every song has its own identity in a way. The first real song on the record, the second track is called A Hundred Letters, and it's alternative, pop, kind of 90s vibe, very much in Halsey fashion--sad, sad lyrics."

While she is known for her emotional lyrics, she has a very clear and very normal answer as to why the lyrics are so rarely happy. "I think I write a lot of sad music or I tend to write more about negative things than positive things. Doing that helps me be a happier person in my real lifewhen nice things happen to me I want to keep them to myself. When bad things happen I want to complain about them to you guys."
