(Radio.com) Getting an invitation to join the Grand Ole Opry is an honor all country music artists dream about. For Chris Janson, that dream came true Monday night (Feb. 5) onstage during a sold-out show at Nashville's legendary Ryman Auditorium, once the home of the Grand Ole Opry.

Keith Urban, who was a special guest during the evening, extended the invitation to Janson to be part of the exclusive country club after the pair performed John Michael Montgomery's 1995 track, "Sold (The Grundy County Auction Incident)."

"I know the feeling of the night I got invited. It's an incredible feeling. And I think it's about time you feel that way too, Chris," Urban told an emotional Janson in front of the cheering crowd. Janson's wife, Kelly, joined him onstage to celebrate with a big hug.

"It was such an honor and a blessing last night to welcome my brother from another mother, Chris Janson, into the Opry family," Urban shared on Twitter today (Feb. 6). "You played the clubs, you honed your craft, you walk the talk, & now you're an Opry member!! Congrats to you, Kelly, your family, & the whole crew!"

Singled Out: Aesthetic Perfection's Ebb And Flow

Aesthetic Perfection's new EP "Ebb and Flow" was released last Friday and to celebrate we asked the act's mastermind Daniel Graves to tell us about the inspiration behind the title track. Here is the story:

I LOVED Bon Jovi growing up. They were the quintessential arena band. For as long as I've been a musician I wanted to write something that used a TalkBox the way they did.

So, recently, I broke down and bought one. The day it arrived I took it out of the box and hooked it up to my Nord Lead synth. I was messing around with it for just a few minutes before stumbling upon my Bon Jovi-esque "oh whoa whoa" melody.

I realized that it fit perfectly with a song I'd been making called "Ebb and Flow" that had been sitting in purgatory because it didn't have the right hook for it. Boom. Fresh idea brings an old song to life. Thanks, TalkBox!

Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen for yourself and learn more about the album right here!

Katy Perry Would Change 'I Kissed a Girl' for 2018

(Radio.com) Katy Perry has some new thoughts about her breakout 2008 hit, "I Kissed a Girl." In retrospect, if she could rewrite the songs she'd make a few changes, she said in an interview with Glamour.

"I think we've really changed, conversationally, in the past 10 years," Perry said. "We've come a long way. Bisexuality wasn't as talked about back then, or any type of fluidity. If I had to write that song again, I probably would make an edit on it.

"Lyrically, it has a couple of stereotypes in it. Your mind changes so much in 10 years, and you grow so much. What's true for you can evolve." Read more here.

Drake Gives $50K To University Student for Tuition

(Radio.com) Drake went out of his way to leave a positive impression on Miami students on Monday (Jan. 5). On the same day the rapper donated $25,000 and OVO-designed uniforms to Miami Senior High School (where he shot a video for "God's Plan"), Drizzy delighted a University of Miami student by giving her $50,000 for college tuition.

Student Destiny Paris detailed her good fortune on Instagram, explaining how Drake surprised her with the generous gift. "I applied to scholarships last year for which I had to write an essay. I received those scholarships and thought that was the end of it," Paris shared. "Apparently, my essay and my story made it to other departments. I was contacted this weekend about doing a video speaking about where I come from, things I've been through, and why it is so important for scholarship donors to continue to donate. This was the surprise the whole time. Drake told me that he has read great things about me and appreciates how hard I've worked through so many trials and decided to give me $50K for my tuition."

Paris shared a pair of photos with the rapper presenting her with a giant check. "THANK YOU SO MUCH!!' You don't understand what this means to me! I would've never imagined this happening to me. I'm just a girl from Denmark, SC that wants to MAKE IT and be somebody and for you to see my hard work means the world. Thank you so much. God I thank you. You are so great and amazing! Thank you for blessing me when I thought my hard work was going unnoticed. I'm living out my dreams. God's Plan." Read more and see the posts here.
