Dead & Company Hit Milestones On Summer Tour

(Scoop) Dead & Company have just two more shows for their 2018 Summer Tour which has been ranked 12 on Pollstar's 2018 Mid-Year Top 10 North American Tours chart. We were sent these highlights from the trek so far.

Select milestones of the 2018 Summer Tour include: * two nights at New York's Citi Field (June 15 & June 16), the fourth and fifth concerts for the band in New York in about a year (Dead & Company performed at Madison Square Garden on November 12 & November 14, 2017 and at Citi Field on June 24, 2017);

* The grand re-opening of the historic Alpine Valley Music Theatre in East Troy, Wisconsin with two nights (June 22 & June 23), which were the third and fourth concerts for the band in the Chicago area in a year (Dead & Company broke the concert attendance record at Wrigley Field on June 30, 2017, and July 1, 2017); Read more here.

Uli Jon Roth Announces 50th Anniversary Tour Dates

(Noble) Former Scorpions guitarist Uli Jon Roth has announced that he will celebrate his upcoming 50th Stage Anniversary, by playing 6 very special UK concerts this fall.

The UK tour starts at the Corporation in Sheffield on Thursday 29th November, followed by University of London Union (Friday 30th November), Coventry's Kasbah (Saturday 1 December), Manchester's Academy 3 (Sunday 2 December), Glasgow's Oran Mor (Monday 3 December) and Milton Keynes' The Stables (Wednesday 5 December).

The two hour-plus program will consist of carefully selected highlights from Uli's entire musical career. In recent times, Uli has successfully revisited the early music of his celebrated Scorpions days which resulted in the "Scorpions Revisited" double CD and "Tokyo Tapes Revisited" DVD/Blu-Ray releases. The 50th Anniversary set will naturally include the best of that timeless material, including The Sails of Charon, In Trance, Fly to the Rainbow and many other songs. Unseen And Heard Leonard Cohen 1972 Tour Rediscovered

(Glass Onyon) Previously unseen or heard recordings from Leonard Cohen from his 1972 tour will finally see the light of day via the "Each man or woman has a song.... Bird On A Wire" deluxe box set and DVDs. We were sent the following details:

Legendary Film Director Tony Palmer was in his archive looking for something completely different when he discovered a box of archive film and sound recordings from Leonard Cohen's famous 1972 tour, which formed the basis of the highly critically acclaimed, multi-prize winning and best-selling DVD "Bird On A Wire."

Concert material from the concerts in Stockholm, Paris and the Albert Hall, with Cohen at the height of his powers performing "Marianne," "Susanne," "Joan of Arc," "The Story of Isaac" and many other songs, is now being restored and edited together by Tony Palmer, who shot the original material.

This will be interspersed with more backstage film of the band on tour, and even some fresh interviews with Cohen himself all of which has remained unseen for over 45 years. here.

Fastball Expand Hit Album For Anniversary Reissue

(Conqueroo) Fastball's "All The Pain Money Can Buy" album has been expanded for a 20th anniversary deluxe reissue which will be released on November 9th featuring the remastered album and bonus tracks and the reissue will also feature the album released for the first time on vinyl. We were sent the following details:

When the first single from Fastball's second record was released a few months before the album dropped, it was apparent there would be no sophomore slump. "The Way" exploded at radio, eventually going Gold, and propelling All the Pain Money Can Buy to Gold status in only three months and Platinum another three months later. The release also received two Grammy� nominations, and the band won four Austin Chronicle awards for the album.

Produced by the band with Julian Raymond (Cheap Trick, Sugarland, LP), All the Pain Money Can Buy also delivered the second single, "Fire Escape," as well as the Top 20 single "Out of My Head" (whose chorus was recently reinterpreted in "Bad Things" by Machine Gun Kelly & Camilla Cabello) while also including a track with Poe (whose Hello was certified Gold in 1996). The Crystal Method Announce New Album The Trip Home

(MSO) The Crystal Method continues as a solo act with co-founder and originator Scott Kirkland at the helm. And with the artistic reboot comes the next chapter in The Crystal Method with the release of a new album "The Trip Home" out September 28.

To kick off the record, Scott will give a special live performance in Las Vegas on release day for a true 'trip home experience.' To support the album, Kirkland will embark on 'The Trip Home Tour.'

"The Trip Home refers to my long journey: all the places where I've been able to go, and the experiences that come with that"," says Kirkland. "It's the journey back to all the things that got me here-the touring, the music, the fans that keep me here. But there's always home. alt-J Call On Hip-Hop Stars To Reimagine Relaxer Album

(BH) alt-J announces that they will be releasing a new album called "REDUXER", which is a set of 11 reinterpretations of songs from the band's third album, RELAXER, reimagined by a variety of hip hop artists and producers. REDUXER will be available September 28 on Canvasback/Atlantic and can be preordered now on limited white vinyl and CD.

REDUXER was hinted at last month when Pusha T and Twin Shadow joined alt-J for a performance of "In Cold Blood" on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, simultaneously releasing the studio version of the collaboration. "It's no secret that we love and are influenced by hip-hop, and it's always been a dream of ours to work with hip-hop artists in reimagining our music," the band explained.

Onkel Tom Announces New Double Album 'Bier Ernst'

(Freeman) Onkel Tom has announced will be releasing a new double album called "Bier Ernst." The 21-track effort will be split in the respective Bier and Ernst part and will be hitting stores on Septmber 21st. We were sent the following details: The album will be out on September 28, 2018 and consists of 21(!) tracks on two CDs, titled - in accordance with their lyrical content - respectively Bier and Ernst.

Onkel Tom a.k.a. Tom Angelripper (Sodom) reveals what his fans can look forward to: "The title track of our recent EP and eight additional numbers on the Ernst CD present the band from a slightly different perspective. They're songs full of passion for music, but of course also full of anger about people's indifference that's bound to destroy the world.

Eris Release Video For Cover Of Linkin Park's 'Lost In The Echo'

Atlanta rockers Eris have released a brand new self-directed music video for their cover of the Linkin Park hit single, "Lost in the Echo," which can be streamed online.

The group had the following to say about the song in the video announcement "Eris will mean a lot of different things to a lot of different people.

Jorge Santana's Classic 1970s Recordings Set For Reissue

(Conqueroo) Omnivore Recordings have announced that they will be releasing Jorge Santana's "Love The Way: The Solo '70s Recordings" on September 14th, which combines two remastered albums, Jorge Santana and It's All About Love, with liner notes by Bill Kopp and new interviews with Santana
and fellow Malo alumnus Richard Bean. We were sent the following details:

Latin rock pioneer Jorge Santana's musical journey began right after high school, when he joined the popular San Francisco nine-piece, horn-driven band, The Malibus. The Malibus added the 17-year-old guitarist and morphed into Malo by 1971. Their self-titled debut album was issued in 1972, yielding the Top Twenty hit "Sauvecito."

Malo continued to evolve over the course of four albums for Warner Bros. with a changing cast of members, including keyboardist Richard Kermode (formerly of Janis Joplin's Kozmic Blues Band), singer/founders Arcelio Garcia and Richard Bean, and three members of the band Naked Lunch, among others. After Malo's fourth Warner Bros. album, Ascenci�n, was released, Santana performed with the Fania All-Stars at Madison Square Garden, then appeared on their 1974 album Latin-Soul-Rock. I honor Joe Ptacek and Ryan Stanek who also started BROKEN HOPE with me and are no longer here... I honor them every time I hit those stages and I continue celebrate the spirit of BH and death metal with my brothers Damian, Mike, Matt, and Diego.
