Born August 16, 1958 in Bay City, Michigan, Madonna Louise Ciccone never made any secret of her intention to become a megastar pop culture icon. Always having something bigger and better in mind, Madonna's ambitions drove her to become the biggest female recording artist of all time. This DVD is a perfect representation of that and adequately illustrates her most vulnerable times to her most successful.

The disc Mixes her modest vocal talent with dance-pop beats, enthralling even the most casual of music listeners. Mid-tempo "Borderline" became her first top ten hit on the Billboard Hot 100 in the U.S. and from there her music career continued to rise. Songs like "Material Girl" and "Like a Virgin" would further strengthen her image, for better or for worse. Frequently adding political, sexual and religious themes to her work, Madonna has never feared courting controversy.

Later in her career, the 60s psyche-pop song "Beautiful Stranger", slow tempo electronica track "Frozen" and trance infused dance track "Hung Up" would bring listeners back with her catchy dance pop smash hits. Through the years Madonna has continuously altered her public persona to remain relevant in the recording studio, big screen and in print.

Starring in films like Desperately Seeking Susan and Evita, Madonna has proved herself capable of other art forms. Even her children's books have sparked interest for their honesty and compassion. Having been an entertainer for 25 years, Madonna proves herself to be one of the most versatile artists of today's day and age. For fans that have always wanted to know how this Motown girl transformed herself into a pop idol will enjoy this biography. Her ambition and focus entitles her to be named the queen of pop: a self-made success story.
