Cindy Wilson and Kate Pierson don't wear their hair in beehives anymore but the two clearly have as much fun singing and shimmying around on stage as they ever did, as does the group's male singer Fred Schneider. With guitarist Keith Strickland and a trio of back-up musicians rockin' out the beat, here the band rips through a set that includes the thrilling spy sounds of "Planet Claire," the wacky disco of "Mesopotamia," the winsome "Roam" and of course a steaming hot plate of "Rock Lobster." 20 mostly familiar tracks in total; all played with a little extra enthusiasm for hometown Athens fans. With the Wild Crowd! is a very nice presentation from this always-entertaining band.
