Damon Dash Developing Roc-A-Fella Story For TV Series

(Radio.com) Damon Dash has announced that he is bringing Roc-A-Fella to the small screen. Dash, the record label's co-founder, will be partnering with producer Lemuel Plummer to create a series about the company's rise and fall.

Damon created the label in 1996 along with Jay Z and Kareem Burke to release Jay's debut album Reasonable Doubt (via Deadline). They would go on to sign Kanye West, Cam'ron, among others, but things soured in 2005 when Roc-A-Fella was sold to The Island Def Jam Music Group, and Jay Z became president and CEO of Def Jam. Then there are the rumors that Jay cheated with Dash's wife Rachel Roy, who was rumored to be "Becky with the good hair," from Beyonce's Lemonade.

Apparently, no subject will be off limits. From the personal to the professional, the TV series will be a "brutally honest" look at Roc-A-Fella. Read more here.
