The Simpsons Going Hip-Hop With RZA, Common

(Radio.com) For the first ever hour-long special episode of The Simpsons, the creators of the show decided to embrace hip-hop. 'We wanted the Mt. Rushmore of rap, and we got it," producer Dan Greeny told Entertainment Weekly.

The episode will air in January and will feature RZA and Common among the special guests. Series executive producer Matt Selman teased the episode, saying, "It's a tale of greed, excess, betrayal, revenge, and ruthlessness, and there's a hilarious goose in it. The goose is really funny."

The season 28 opener was first announced in August. At the time, it was revealed that the episode would be a spoof of F. Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby titled The Great Phatsby and that it would star Empire's Taraji P. Henson and Key & Peele's Keegan-Michael Key. Read more here.
