Kid Rock Jams With Kenny Chesney In Detroit

(Radio.com) Kenny Chesney tapped local rocker Kid Rock when he stopped by Detroit, Michigan on Saturday (August 13) for his 2016 Spread the Love Tour. The pair teamed up to sing Rock's 1998 hit "Cowboy" as well as two covers.

Before bringing him onstage, Chesney said, "He is my brother in music [and] in life, and he is from Detroit, Michigan." Once they wrapped up Rock's song, Chesney and his guest launched into two big karaoke favorites.

They sang Allman Brothers Band's 'Midnight Rider," and David Allan Coe's "You Never Even Called Me By My Name" (via The Boot). Besides Rock, Chesney also invited out Miranda Lambert, Old Dominion and Jake Owen for individual moments.

Chesney will soon release his next album Cosmic Hallelujah, which contains his duet with Pink, on October 28th. A fan in the audience captured Rock's performance of "Cowboy" with Chesney. Watch it here.
