(Radio.com) Certain songs before the dawn of MTV never got the music videos they deserved. but now, Elton John has partnered with YouTube to change that. He's launched a new contest that challenges music fans to create their own visual interpretations of his songs "Rocket Man," "Bennie and the Jets," and "Tiny Dancer."
"We're excited to partner with YouTube to bring together generations of artists and music lovers around a shared passion for storytelling," John said. "YouTube is a rich tapestry of creativity, and I can't wait to see how the breadth of talent from the dance, live-action and animation communities apply their vision to these cherished songs."
Fans who submit videos will be evaluated by John and his longtime lyricist Bernie Taupin. Winners with the best concept submission will work with Pulse Films (who made Beyonce's Lemonade) to bring their vision to high-definition fruition. Winners will also receive a $10,000 cash prize for future creative endeavors. Read more here.
