(Radio.com) In 2014, Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan performed an 8-hour jam session inspired by Siddhartha, Hermann Hesse's 1922 novel about a spiritual journey. If that piques your interest and a $375 price tag's not prohibitive, you're in luck: A five-LP box set is here.
Some background: Corgan performed the Siddhartha set at Madame Zuzu's Tea Show in Chicago before a very patient audience of 40. Critics have described the set as "ambient" and "synth-heavy," though another word that works is "long." The box set will retail on a limited run of 500 copies.
To sweeten the pot, Corgan's thrown in some extras for fans who bite the bullet and drop almost $400 on his obscure coffee shop jam session. Read more here.
