Fitz and the Tantrums Frontman Explains The Art of Disconnecting

(Radio.com) Michael 'Fitz' Fitzpatrick, the front man of Fitz and the Tantrums, knows about disconnecting from the chaos of life. The father of one spends much of his time recording, performing at venues all over the world and promoting his music.

"In this day and age, it's more important than ever to try and find those moments to disconnect," says Fitzpatrick. "My thing is, to whenever I can, put the phone down, turn off the devices.

"I just like to find a quiet space and calm myself and tune the world out for a second. Maybe even sometimes do a small moment of meditation and use that energy as a place to find that center."

When he has the time to take a few days to chill out, he and his actress wife Kaylee Defer escape to Greater Palm Springs. "I think one of the amazing things about this destination is that it's somewhere you can get to easily, and yet you feel like you've entered a completely different world," he says. Read more here.
