Troy Ave Launches Scholarship For Shooting Victim

(Radio.com) Troy Ave has created The Ronald McPhatter Scholarship to honor his late friend, Ronald "Banga" McPhatter, who was shot and killed last month at New York concert venue Irving Plaza.

Ave has donated $10,000 to Brooklyn, New York's New Utrecht High School, where he, Banga and Ave's younger brother attended and played football, reported HipHopDX.

The rapper's lawyer, John Stella, said the money will be distributed in $2,000 increments each year and the recipients will be chosen by the high school football program. Read more here.
