Kesha Drops California Suit Against Dr. Luke

(Radio.com) After a long legal battle against producer Dr. Luke, Kesha has decided to dismiss the California lawsuit which alleges that the producer sexually and emotionally abused her.

According to The Guardian, the pop star has dropped the case in hopes to release new music. However, her New York case against the producer will continue.

Kesha's attorney, Daniel Petrocelli, said Kesha delivered 28 new songs to Dr. Luke's label, Kemosabe Records, where she is still signed. The singer hopes her new music will be released soon.

"We have conveyed to Sony and the label Kesha's strong desire to release her next album and single as soon as possible," Petrocelli wrote in a statement.

The Guardian reports that Kesha is currently appealing two rulings in New York that prevented her from breaking her contract with Dr Luke's label and that dismissed her claims of abuse. Read more here.
