Coldplay Play Bee Gees Classic With Barry Gibb

(Radio.com) Coldplay headlined Glastonbury over the weekend for the fourth time. Their set was a memorable one, too, as the band brought out Barry Gibb during the encore.

Before the special appearance frontman Chris Martin said they would take a song request from Instagram. Then, the stage screen projected a video of Glastonbury founder Michael Eavis. In the clip, Eavis explained that people often ask him who he would love to play the festival and he responds most of his dream choices "are dead now." But he added that he has always wanted The Bee Gees to perform because they have "lovely songs."

"Michael, we can do one better," Martin said. "We can bring out an actual Bee Gee. Here comes Mr. Barry Gibb. Let's be respectful." The audience erupted into screams as Gibb walked out on the stage. Martin and Gibb covered "To Love Somebody" acoustically before the full band joined in for a performance of "Staying Alive". Read more here.
