Metallica Add New Dates To WorldWired Tour

(hennemusic) Metallica continue to expand their WorldWired tour in support of their tenth album, "HardwiredTo Self Destruct." The latest additions include show in Oakland, CA, Beijing, China and Mexico City.

The band had this to say about the bay area show, "In the last two months, we've been to New York City, Latin America and Europe so it's about time we plan some festivities right at home in the Bay Area!," says the band. "And what better way to wind down the year than a special Fifth Members show in our own backyard at the historic Fox Theater in Oakland, CA as we hit the stage there on December 17th for the last time in 2016... it promises to be quite the party!"

A Fifth Member presale starts November 17 at 10:00 AM PST; tickets are priced at $25 with all proceeds donated to the Alameda County Community Food Bank. "Everyone who comes to the show is encouraged to celebrate the spirit of holidays by bringing a donation of canned goods to the venue that night and we'll have collection bins by all the entrances," adds the group. "Take a break from the shopping and merriment to spread some holiday cheer with us in Oakland!!"

Metallica have also announced plans to return to China for their first appearance in Beijing at the Le Sports Center on January 18. The March 1 stop at Foro Sol in Mexico City, Mexico will feature support from Iggy Pop.

The band says, "We've had so many amazing nights with some of the most passionate, crazy fans during the run of eight nights at Placio De Los Deportes in 2012," says the band, "and, of course, the three nights captured on video at Foro Sol in 2009. We cannot wait to see you again in March!" Read more here.
