On Wednesday Cole Swindell Streams Sentimental New Song 'Stars' was a top story. Here is the recap: (Radio.com) After stopping listeners' hearts with his last single "Flatliner" featuring Dierks Bentley, Cole Swindell slows things down and gets sweet with his new song, "Stars." It appears on his upcoming second studio album, You Should Be Here.
"You wish on 'em/Party underneath 'em/Way out there where it's easy to see 'em/Stars," Swindell sings in the opening. But if you think this is Swindell's poetic musings on those twinkling lights above, think again.
The romantic ballad, grounded in country-leaning guitar, finds Swindell dancing with his lady out underneath the night sky, and comparing the way she makes him feel to the lights overhead. "You stare at 'em/Swear if you can reach 'em/You'd give her one/Cuz she's got you seeing/Stars/Since that night she stole your heart," he sings.
Swindell doubled down and released a bonus video with the single, which finds him singing against a sparkling city skyline. Check it out - here.
