Chris Brown Denies Latest Assault Allegation

(Radio.com) Chris Brown's team has fired back at claims he assaulted a woman in Las Vegas last month. A statement obtained by The Hollywood Reporter states that the alleged victim's accusations are "unequivocally untrue."

"I'm going to be hella rich after all the lawsuits I file from these crazy individuals who keep lying on my name. Happy NEW YEAR! Time for some of us to grow the f up," the singer wrote in an Instagram post. TMZ reports that a defamation suit may be filed as early as today.

The charges pertain to an alleged incident that occurred on Saturday, December 2 at the Palms Casino Resort. Liziane Gutierrez claims that when she attempted to take photos with Brown, he punched her in the face and took her phone.

"Her claim that she had her phone in her possession inside the after party and was able to take a photo causing an altercation with Chris Brown is a complete fabrication," read a statement by Brown's team. "This seems like a clear case of retaliation for her bruised ego."

Britney Spears Gets Stuck In A Tree

(Radio.com) Over the weekend, Britney Spears endured another concert mishap during her Las Vegas residency. This time, the pop superstar was caught up a tree. That is, the harness that was meant to carry her across the stage from a tree set piece failed to achieve liftoff during a performance of her hit "Toxic."

Rather than making a dramatic aerial ascent across the main stage, Spears had to climb down a set of stairs to join her dancers front and center. A helpful stage hand climbed to inform her that the harness moment was a no-go. Members of the audience seemed aware that something wasn't quite right.

Spears, ever the professional, quickstepped down the stairs to finish the number and give her fans what they paid top dollar to see in Sin City. Watch video of the incident here.

(Radio.com) Coldplay released a new music video for their song "Birds" on Monday (January 4th). The track comes off the band's final album A Head Full of Dreams.

Meek Mill Remixes Drake's 'Back to Back'

(Radio.com) Now that Meek Mill isn't able to go anywhere until his next court appearance on Feb. 5, the rapper appears to be focusing on finalizing his new mixtape, Dreamchasers 4.

From footage that surfaced over the weekend, it looks as though his rival Drake may play a part in the album. At a New Year's Eve Listening Party Meek held in his Philly hometown, he rapped over Drake's "Back to Back," which actually happens to be a diss track about Meek (via Billboard). He also rapped over Drake and Future's collaboration "I'm the Plug."

Whether this means the beef between the two is finally quieting down, of Meek has something more nefarious in mind by using Drake's music to share his own message remains to be seen.

An audience member captured a few snippets of each freestyle, and shared it on Twitter. Check it out here.
