Megan Moroney had already finished her set on Wednesday evening when the weather got too gruesome to continue at the Talking Stick Resort Amphitheater. Rain, wind and weather advisories couldn't dampen the spirit of No Shoes Nation who waited a full two hours for Kenny Chesney to be able to take the stage for the local stop on his Sun Goes Down 2024 Tour. And then the lightning struck.

"I won't take chances with the people I love," Chesney has always said. Making good on that notion, the songwriter/superstar was in the trenches monitoring weather movement, talking to promoter reps and people in the building, looking for solutions for interminable circumstances. When he found out he could play the next night, even as lighting started slicing the sky, Chesney made the decision - and moved the sold-out show to Thursday. (continue)

Lee Brice's latest release, "Summer of Us," written by Brice, Ben Glover, Billy Montana and Joe Leathers, takes the listener through the windows down, sun-drenched, carefree days of yesteryear. Produced by Ben Glover and Jerrod Niemann, the track feels like rolling through the kodak moments of summers gone with an up-tempo sentimentality.

"Summer holds so many great memories for all of us - vacation time with the family, backyard barbeques with neighbors and friends, or finding young love. This song brings back a lot of those memories for me and I hope it does the same for everyone who hears it."- Lee Brice (continue)

Country music star Buckstein just released his new song "MeXico", and to celebrate we asked him to tell us about the track. Here is the story:

"MeXico" is my newest single. This one was a ton of fun to write and record (and it's sounding really good live!). This tune started with instrumentation that my producer, Mr. E, pulled together. It sounded dark and loud, like a hard night out. We had a good time finding rhymes and escapades to follow the vibe. The character is a bit of a fever dream that I see as bit of a cult movie, and the chorus is an echo of soccer chants. The character feels (continue)

Having decamped to Austin's legendary Arlyn Recording Studios to distill her Lone Star coming of age, triple GRAMMY winner and Academy of Country Music Entertainer of the Year Miranda Lambert savored the rhythms, players and variety of styles that populate Postcards from Texas. The 14-track project moves from yearning ballads to discordant rockers, sparkling acoustic songs and steel guitar-soaked laments, showing what makes music from the Lone Star State so tangy and unforgettable.

To celebrate, there's only one thing for the winningest woman in ACM history to do: drop more music and kick up some dust on her way to deliver the full picture! With the brooding, woman scorned "Wranglers" and the chiming rejoinder "Dammit Randy" already stoking anticipation, Lambert makes a hard right... to the dance floor with "Alimony". (continue)

Of the song, the Rangers' Graham Sharp offers: "The song "Can't Get Home" is one that's really grown since we started playing it live. It's one of the places in the show where we go at it without any sort of plan. We know where we're gonna start and where we're gonna end, but we don't always know how we're gonna get there. We like to put a couple moments like that in the show to make sure everybody's listening to each other and encourage people to be creative and stretch out a little bit, and I think you can hear it in this song." To kick things off, on the eve of her concerts, the Honorable Rick Blangiardi, Mayor of the City and County of Honolulu, and Governor Josh Green proclaimed July 18 "Carrie Underwood Day," where she was presented with ceremonial proclamations in recognition of her incredible career achievements, significant cultural and societal contributions, and her first-ever performances in Hawaii.
