(Wenn) Blues great SAM MYERS has died at his home in Dallas, Texas after losing his battle with throat cancer. He was 70. The harmonica player and singer was diagnosed with cancer last year (05), according to the Los Angeles Times, and had been unable to perform since late 2004. A former drummer with blues legend ELMORE JAMES, the Mississippi native enjoyed success with his own track, SLEEPING IN THE GROUND, in the mid-1950s.[see full story for more] - Click here for the Full Story
