Editors Set Release
PR reports: The new Editors album, An End Has A Start, is set for release through Epic/Fader Records on July 17th. Recorded in Ireland at Grouse Lodge with the acclaimed Garrett 'Jacknife' Lee (Snow Patrol, Bloc Party), An End Has A Start reinforces the visceral power of Editors' music and emphasizes the band's desire to stretch themselves musically, lyrically, and conceptually.

While their debut album, The Back Room, seethed with claustrophobic menace and icy grandeur, An End Has A Start sees lead singer and lyricist Tom Smith more focused on the power of redemption and the human necessity for friendship and family in the face of death. The album's lyrics are closely linked to events over the last year or so.[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Horse the Band set Release Date
PR reports: Named one of Alternative Press Magazine's 100 Bands To Watch, HORSE the Band are preparing themselves for a late-summer release of their third full-length album, A Natural Death (KOCH) on August 28. The band has also posted "Murder," a song from the new album, on their MySpace page.

"We posted a series of ads and pictures featuring dead wolves who were killed in an 'un-natural' way (i.e. by humans and technology). This is meant to explore the irony of 'a natural death' and make people ask themselves, 'What is natural?' Nature being murdered by man is paralleled by man being murdered by nature, which is a theme of our album," says guitarist David Isen.[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Arthur Alexander The Final Chapter
PR reports: The only songwriter whose songs were covered by The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan and Elvis Presley was Arthur Alexander. One of the greatest soul singers of all time, if not the best known, he penned "Anna," "Sally Sue Brown" and "You Better Move On" among many others. The Beatles modeled their early sound after him. Yet by 1980 a young man, just 40 Alexander had left the music industry and was driving a bus and working at a center for disadvantaged kids in Cleveland. That's exactly where the story of Lonely Just Like Me: The Final Chapter a deluxe package chronicling his improbable, triumphant yet tragically short-lived comeback in the early 90s begins.

In one comprehensive 18-track volume, Lonely Just Like Me: The Final Chapter (Hacktone Records, due out 8/21) combines Arthur Alexander's Ben Vaughn-produced final album for Nonesuch (awarded a rave feature review in Rolling Stone) with previously unreleased material from NPR's "Fresh Air" in a rare on-air performance, the never-before-heard hotel room demos (including Arthur's take on Neil Diamond's "Solitary Man") and a live version of "Anna" recorded at New York's Bottom Line.[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story
