Singled Out: Wake Up Lucid
. Feel It is a song that we had been trying to figure out for about a month. We had tried doing different arrangements and different beats to figure out what would really make it feel complete. We all liked the rhythm that it had but it still didn't feel like the energy that the song had was coming through. I think it was the third track that we recorded the first day and we did 2 or 3 takes of it and it just felt like something was still missing. As an experiment we turned everything up to 10, every pedal I had was clicked on and at full volume and there was just this screeching feedback as we waited to start. We ran through it and the whole vibe in the studio changed, you could feel the electricity throughout the room. The guitar pickups were so hot they picked up the vocal and you could hear the line "Hello can you hear me, can you feel it now" come through the guitar amps. This is the take that is on the record. This changed the whole session and that was the energy we wanted the entire record to have, that one experiment just shaped the whole sound we were going for. We re-recorded the first two songs from that day and decided right there this record had to be called Feel It. Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen for yourself and learn more about the album right here!
