Queensryche Trying To Prevent Geoff Tate From Using Their Name
. The group is attempting to keep Tate from using the band's name until the current legal case is resolved, according to Billboard who spoke with a member of the band about the latest legal move. They report that the band filed a motion for partial summary judgment on September 21st asking Washington state's King County Superior Court to declare that Tate "has no right to the Queensryche band name, marks and media assets since he has no grant of authority from the TriRyche Corporation that owns them, unless and until he is able to succeed on his claims to dissolve the Queensryche corporations, and to enter a permanent injunction to the same."
