Alessia Cara Talks 'Amazing' Taylor Swift Experience
. Her song "Here," an anti-party anti-anthem, was one of the big hits of the summer, and a few weeks ago on Halloween, she was invited to join Taylor Swift on stage to perform that song at Tampa, Fla.'s Raymond James Stadium. She still hasn't gotten over the thrill of the experience. "That was amazing," she told Radio.com earlier today. "Taylor Swift is incredible. she's the one of the nicest, smartest people in the industry. She just knows how to make people feel comfortable, and how to help people. She has helped so many artists coming up, and the fact that she's helped me is incredible." Indeed, over the summer, Swift tweeted a list of "New Songs That Will Make Your Life More Awesome - I Promise!" which included Cara's "I'm Yours." Cara is still amazed at how many people she played to at the Swift show, and it seemed that everyone there knew "Here": "There were 55,000 people, that's a lot of people! I came up on the elevator thing from under the stage, I felt like Madonna! I felt so cool. But I was terrified. Everyone was singing the song, it was incredible. She had the dancers holding red solo cups," a reference to the song's lyric "Right next to the boy who's throwin' up/'Cause he can't take what's in his cup no more." "She did that for me and welcomed me in such an amazing way." Read more here. Radio.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com. |
