Parfitt Cancer Free
Gigwise reports: Status Quo guitarist Rick Parfitt does not have cancer his doctors have confirmed after doing a biopsy on his larynx.

Hug A Tree Fest
Ananova reports: The Strokes and Super Furry Animals have confirmed they are to appear at a massive concert in Cardiff next year.

The Darkness will also play at the One Earth Concert at the Millennium Stadium on January 28, reports NME.com.

Hermit Age Debut
Press Release reports: The dark metal band HERMIT AGE is releasing their first full length, titled Sinnocence, after eight years of activities. Created by Diego Voges (ex-Penitence, ex-Megalon), the band, after a little time on hold, is back now with Lilly on female vocals and a new website, which has a complete biography, with details of the band' activities through almost a decade of existence. 

The new album has six tracks, with four new songs and two re-recordings of "The Mirror's Inversion" and "When they Awake". The track list is:

03. Kill the Sun

More Burst Euro Dates
Relapse reports: Sweden's BURST have announced the dates for their forthcoming European headlining tour. 

Hot on the heels of their recent European tour supporting OPETH, BURST will return for a 19 city tour beginning February 14th in Scotland through March 5th in Brussels. As previously reported, one week will be spent in the U.K. for a Rock Sound and Totalrock sponsored run of dates.
