(Gigwise) Michael Stipe has said that he plans to take a break from REM after the terrorist bombing in London revived some post-9/11 trauma for him.

The band played their delayed Hyde Park gig at the weekend which marked the end of their �Around The Sun' world tour. 6 Music reports that Stipe now plans to record in London with other un-named artists as well making guest appearances on tours as a way of winding down.
