(tinfoil.music) Microsoft's plans to launch a subscription-based music service are on indefinite hold, after the software company walked away (subscription required) from negotiations with the Big Four record labels. The central bone of contention was royalties. The labels were looking for between US$6 and US$8 per user per month, a figure Microsoft balked at.
