Thorp Records reports: Thorp Records has signed Ironbound NYC, which features hardcore veterans such as Pete Koller (Sick Of It All), Craig Setari (Sick Of It All, Straight Ahead), Jimmy Williams (Maximum Penalty, Nausea), Rich McGloughlin (Killing Time), Sean O'Brien (Killing Time) and Thomaso Skorupski (Chronic Fear).

conqueroo reports: Songwriter and musical alchemist Stan Ridgway has taken a short break from his solo endeavors (last year's acclaimed CD Snakebite, the DVD Holiday in Dirt) in order to deliver another installment from his Drywall side project, Barbeque Babylon: 15 Choice Cuts for Your BBQ Party, on redFLY records (distributed by Bayside Distribution).

Hopeless reports: Amber Pacific has just announced new confirmed dates with Number One Gun, The Junior Varsity, and So They Say. The November Tour will take the band through the Mid West, the South, and the West Coast.

Nervous Return

It's Alive! reports: La Salle Records’ The Nervous Return are currently mastering “144 Hours”, their new release recorded at legendary Sound City Studios in Los Angeles with noted rock producer Joe Barresi (Queens of the Stone Age, Weezer, Tomahawk).

While The Nervous Return’s new 12-track CD is tentatively slated for release Spring 2006, the band hit the road tonight for the first date of their second national tour in six months in Eugene, OR. at WOW Hall. The tour is a result of a whirlwind recording session that was set-up quickly yet spawned creative outburst of writing shortly before going into the studio for literally – 144 hours. Aside from the new CD, the band is releasing a new digital EP “The Sex, The Drugs….the Nervous return” and a limited edition, promo-only 7” “Bad Girl/Snow in Berlin” which were part of the Sound City Sessions. Relapse reports: Relapse Records recording artists DYSRHYTHMIA will be entering B.C. Studios in Brooklyn, NY with engineer Martin Bisi (Swans, Sonic Youth, John Zorn} in early December to record their new album Barriers and Passages. Barriers and Passages is set for a Spring 2006 release. A demo version of a new DYSRHYTHMIA track entitled "Sleep Decayer" is online now at the full story link.
