siN's metal news reports: Belgian death/grinders
ABORTED have issued the following update:
Unfortunately we have some unpleasant news
to bring as well at this point. Due to personal issues that could not be
resolved, ABORTED, Tace & Free had to part ways. A cummulation of smaller
and bigger problems in the past so and so months has made it virtually
impossible to keep cooperating together as a collective unit. Tace &
Free are not vanishing, they will remain active in their other projects.[see

As of last Thursday, we have parted ways

the Bayles, The Bear Carries On |
Riot Act reports: Minus the Bear keyboardist
Matt Bayles will be leaving the band he has played in since its inception
to focus on record production work. His growing workload along with the

though saddened, the band wish Matt the best.

member the Crystal Skulls will be playing at the Showbox in Seattle this
coming January 28th for the Vera Projects 5-Year Anniversary Party.[see

Pedro
the Lion Update |
Riot Act reports: Pedro the Lion's TW Walsh
has decided to leave the band and take his life in a different direction,
returning to his career as a software engineer. "Dave and I are still buddies,"
says Walsh, "I wish him the best, and I know that he'll continue to thrive
and grow as an artist on his own...I think his best work is still ahead
of him. As for me, I'm thankful for all the experiences that my tenure
with the band provided, but I am sure that this was the right decision
for me and my family."
With TWs departure, Bazan has decided
to drop the Pedro The Lion moniker and forge ahead under his own name.
This is not to say that the Pedro The Lion name will never be used again.
But for now there will be no new releases or touring using the band name.
