(Contact Music) ICE CUBE has joined LUDACRIS and 50 CENT as the latest rapper to attack US media mogul OPRAH WINFREY for her apparent dislike for hip-hop stars. He tells men's magazine FHM, "I've been involved in three projects pitched to her, but I've never been asked to participate. "For Barbershop, she had CEDRIC THE ENTERTAINER and EVE on, but I wasn't invited. Maybe she's got a problem with hip-hop. Oh, so I guess if a white person dislike rock and roll for a non-biased reason, I guess that make them black, huh? I guess if a white person host a TV show with most black people in his or her audience, that person should turn his or her skin white? Your agrument and biased comments fails at life. Anyway, Oprah is just being biased, yet again. Yes, I know today rap is mosty crap, but isn't all moder music today is 100% crap("Punk" music isn't punk, rap went downhill, rock just has smome morons)
Back then, around the 80's, most rap was just about having a good time. You didn't need to talk about hos, guns, gangs, or killing anyone to sell a rap song, all you needed was talent and have a story to tell, as long as is was relaxing.
90s rap brung up real gangsta rappers. Rappers who attucally had it hard on thier lives, and us rap to tell people that guns, stret violence, hos wasn't a good life and you should escape from it. Rappers like 2-Pac, Biggie, Coolio, and many others of the 90s really did had a hard time in hoods and ghettos that had real street violences. They didn't play around with it, it was all facts.
Around early 2000, rap was almost about having a good time. Many people stop rapping about gangs and violence, but then brung that crap back up again. Now, all we hear is horrible rappers like 50 Cent, Ja Rule, and many others. It is because of those fools today that giving rap a horrible name. If rappers stop using the same story about "Oh, my life was so bad, so I'm gonna rap about it!" Guess what? You are not Tupac. YOu are not Biggie. They had it rough, you didn't Mr. I-am-a-wannabe-gangsta-rapper-but-im-really just-a-punk!
Hell, today, the only good rap is underground rap, because they are not mainstearm and do not wish to get into the mainstream rap bussiness after what happen.
Some things I agree with Oprah, but most of it was just bigotry.

One more thing, oprah and myself grew up listening to pure talent ,people like the four tops, the temptations,the stylistics you know motown, pure talent not filth

I've been an oprah fan forever, she doesn't dislike anyone, however the nasty lyrics of a lot of these rap songs is extremely dislikeable. Why should someone morale promote pure filth.

I agree with oprah some of the rap music out there is filthy, whatever happened to disgretion, that's why you have babies having sex. There are some positive rappers out there they should be commended. Alot of the rap I hear little ones listening to is filthy.
