Osbourne Pig
SMN reports: Sharon Osbourne says she plans to remove a gastric band that helped her lose 125 pounds and instead rely on psychotherapy to cope with her weight issues. "I have to figure out why I do what I do to myself," the 54-year-old wife/manager of rocker OZZY OSBOURNE says in an interview in People magazine's Oct. 30 issue. "I think I have some sort of self-destruction button."

Osbourne, who has written a memoir, "Sharon Osbourne Extreme," had surgery for the gastric band in 1999 and plans to shed it in December (when she returns to the U.S. from Britain), she says. She packed on 15 pounds this year "from overeating," she says, even though the band limits what she can digest. "I keep trying to eat more and more ... I'm a pig," says Osbourne, who has indulged in "chocolate, French fries and junk food" instead of sticking to the nutritious diet required of gastric-band patients.[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Piano Girl: Alexa Ray Joel EP
PR reports: Alexa Ray Joel (Daughter of Billy Joel and Christie Brinkley) debut EP titled Sketches will be available at Target October 24th. She just finished opening for Teddy Geiger alongside Machine Shop Recording artist Holly Brook. And she's on the road again headlining in the Eastern US.

Alexa Ray Joel began writing songs at a very early age. Growing up in a musical household, her gift for singing and songwriting was always encouraged by her parents. Her deep love of music stems from as early as the tender age of two, when her father would sing and play nursery rhymes for her on the piano. Like her father, she pursued classical piano training for quite a few years before developing a knack for songwriting. She would soon find that her skills in classical piano provided a solid foundation for her songwriting. At seventeen, she attended the Berklee College of Music's Five Week Music-Fest, where she honed her skills as a performer, and, realizing that she had a soulful voice, lost her inhibitions about sharing that voice with an audience.[see full story for more including dates]- Click Here for the Full Story
