Bang Your Head 'Til We Raise The Dead Tour
Prosthetic Records reports: South Carolinian death metal quintet Through The Eyes Of The Dead have been confirmed as direct support to Whitechapel for the upcoming Bang Your Head 'Til We Raise The Dead Tour, which is scheduled to start August 28 through the end of September, and will also feature Impending Doom, A Different Breed of Killer, and, on a handful of dates, Molotov Solution.

The month of dates marks the band's first time back out on the road since earlier this spring on a string of dates that included a stop at this year's tenth annual New England Metal and Hardcore Festival.

"We're very excited to be an addition to the 'Bang Your Head 'Til We Raise The Dead' tour," guitarist Justin Longshore says. "After wrapping things up on the tour with Animosity in April, we've been home this summer for a much needed rest and writing tons of new riffs and ideas for our next record. Everything is coming along really well and we are pumped to finally be back out on the road again. Make sure you do not miss out on this tour!" - more on this story

Check Out Chromeo Live From Daryl's House
PR reports: Daryl Hall's free web-show, Live From Daryl's House, has become a destination for music fans seeking the latest in up-and-coming artists. The 10th edition, which can be seen on www.livefromdarylshouse.com, starting August 15, will feature highly touted, two-man Canadian electrofunk outfit Chromeo.

The Montreal-based pair is made up of Dave 1 (David Macklovitch) on guitar and vocals and P-Thugg (Patrick Gemayel) on keyboards, synthesizers and talk box. They've released two albums, including 2004's She's In Control and 2007's Fancy Footwork, both on prestigious indie label Vice. The band was named MTV's Artist of the Week in Oct. 2007. The set included a pair of Daryl Hall & John Oates hits, "Family Man" and "Adult Education" as well as Chromeo songs, "Tenderoni" and "Waiting 4 U"

"It's not every day that you meet the single biggest influence of your band, let alone get to jam with them in a laid back and creative atmosphere," says Chromeo's Dave 1. "Filming Live From Daryl's House was one of the highlights of our musical journey. We'll be pinching ourselves for years for come. Given that he pretty much wrote half our songs, it was about time we met Daryl Hall in real life."

Dead By Halloween
Eclipse Records reports: Dead By Wednesday, featuring former Gargantua Soul drummer Christian "Opus" Lawrence have finished final mixes on their new album entitled The Killing Project (Eclipse Records)- the bands first studio album of all-new material since the critically-acclaimed debut Democracy Is Dead (Stillborn Records, 2006). A release date of October 28, 2008 has been set.

The Killing Project features 13 new songs covering topics such as the war in the Middle East, US foreign policy, and the rising cost of oil, among others. With politically-charged lyrics, Dead By Wednesday hopes to raise awareness among America's youth about the need for a change in our foreign and domestic policies.

"We want to be clear" explains Chesci, one of the band's two vocalists. "… this isn't an endorsement for either candidate in this year's up-coming election. It's more about getting people to think for themselves, to not believe everything presented to us by the big media companies such as Fox News & CNN. It's about getting them to really look at our government's role in the majority of conflicts which have taken place over the last fifty years, to question their moral judgment, and to decide whether or not they agree with the path our nation has pursued." - more on this story
