Del-Lords Reissues |
Key songwriter Kempner said his vision "was to create a band that would feature four singers performing my songs an East Coast Beach Boys if you will." But rather than singing about girls and cars, the Del-Lords sang about things that mattered to them: the everyday grind of life and how it affected the band and those around them.
The Del-Lords recorded three albums that broke no sales records but helped start an American rock 'n' roll rebirth and helped sire the Americana movement as well. And now, after a long absence from the marketplace, the first three long-players Frontier Days, Johnny Comes Marching Home and Based on a True Story will be reissued on CD by American Beat Records through Collectors' Choice Music, on May 26, 2009. Their last two albums, Lovers Who Wander and Howlin' at the Halloween Moon, will come out later this year.

Broke City Hitting the Road |

The band is now ready to embark on their first major tour of 2009, saying "We are excited to get back on the road, see some old faces and see some new places while making new friends as well. Some of the cities we are going to we have played in before so we want to make sure our fans know we are coming back, and if you are a new fan, come out and say hello!"

Mad Sin Bringing Their Punkabilly Sound To America |
Mad Sin were born in 1987 out the hard rockin', street fighting, hard drinking, seedy gutter of the Psychobilly/Rockabilly/Punk underworld that festered in a Berlin still entombed by the Eastern Bloc. Not even the Iron Curtain could stop the spread of the sickness that spewed from the first incarnation of the band, Koefte, Stein and Holly when they blasted headlong into the thriving European Psychobilly scene with their first full length album "Chills and Thrills".
"20 Years In Sin Sin" is a celebration of the lifetime of musical depravity that has epitomized the career of the band. This collection spans the years since their inception back in those squat dwelling days of two decades ago as well as old favorites and rare B-Sides this new album boasts six brand new studio tracks, five which emanate from the poison pen of Koefte De Ville as well as a barnstorming live performance recorded on their triumphant tour of America last year which climaxed at this Hollywood show and was recorded by Moses Schneider. Bad taste never sounded so good and no band does it better than the original wild men of German Psychobilly: Mad Sin.

Paul and The Patients Set Release |
Paul and The Patients write songs that blend dark melodies and brooding dissonance, yet remain buoyed by propulsive rhythms that kick along and deftly keep them from sinking into utter oblivion. The compositions fit the blurred memories of late night outings to poorly lit bars, and the guilty gray mornings that follow them. To The Lions, also channels the unease that palpitates below the surface of the excesses of modern day America.
Paul Holmes (Vocals, Guitar) began writing the songs that make up To The Lions as a means of grasping the life that swirled around him. They served more as an act of therapy than anything. His original intentions weren't so much about creating something to perform live so much as a means of purging the emotions and thoughts he held within. He spent long feverish nights in his room, writing and then immediately recording and mixing tracks, creating new material at a prolific pace. Those songs tackled everything from relationships and boredom, to feeling like a king one moment and a total slob the next, and a recently developed heart condition that forced him to think a little more clearly about his own mortality.
