Del-Lords Reissues
conqueroo reports: In New York in the mid-'80s, four veteran New York musicians united to form the Del-Lords: Scott Kempner from the Dictators, Eric Ambel from Joan Jett's Blackhearts, future Cracker drummer Frank Funaro and thundering bassist Manny Caiati.

Key songwriter Kempner said his vision "was to create a band that would feature four singers performing my songs an East Coast Beach Boys if you will." But rather than singing about girls and cars, the Del-Lords sang about things that mattered to them: the everyday grind of life and how it affected the band and those around them.

The Del-Lords recorded three albums that broke no sales records but helped start an American rock 'n' roll rebirth and helped sire the Americana movement as well. And now, after a long absence from the marketplace, the first three long-players Frontier Days, Johnny Comes Marching Home and Based on a True Story will be reissued on CD by American Beat Records through Collectors' Choice Music, on May 26, 2009. Their last two albums, Lovers Who Wander and Howlin' at the Halloween Moon, will come out later this year.

Atomic Bitchwax Go Back To The Tee Pee
Tee Pee reports: The Atomic Bitchwax return to Tee Pee Records with TAB 4 due out April 21st. Chris Kosnik (Bass & Vocals) Bob Pantella (Drums, also from Monster Magnet) and Finn Ryan (Guitar & vocals) are back again combining the best of their Rush-like riff mazes and the dueling Kosnik/Ryan vocal harmonies creating the wall of sound and precision TAB fans have come to expect.

In 2008, The Jersey Shore power trio The Atomic Bitchwax set out to record their latest 11 high energy Riff-Rock tunes on the appropriately titled "TAB 4". Recorded by the band themselves and mixed by Eric Rachel at the famed NJ Trax-East Studios. This time around finds the band shifting gears over and over from the pulsing groove of the title track "Revival" to the inhuman face melting speed of the instrumental "Super Computer" will leave listeners and players alike wanting more.

For more than 10 years the band has climbed up and out from the basements of NJ to play nearly 1000 live shows in over 20 countries, the band is currently on tour in Europe. This is no three chord bull----...this is the Bitchwax. - more on this story

Self-described as truthful and unapologetic while still being gutsy and timeless, Broke City is a band that has seemingly gone to hell and back in a short period of time. Having experienced a major label whirlwind, the band has emerged on the other side stronger and more independent than ever.

The band is now ready to embark on their first major tour of 2009, saying "We are excited to get back on the road, see some old faces and see some new places while making new friends as well. Some of the cities we are going to we have played in before so we want to make sure our fans know we are coming back, and if you are a new fan, come out and say hello!"

Mad Sin Bringing Their Punkabilly Sound To America
TKO reports: This month Mad Sin are embarking on a tour of North America in support of their latest release "20 Years In Sin Sin" on Hep Cat Records:

Mad Sin were born in 1987 out the hard rockin', street fighting, hard drinking, seedy gutter of the Psychobilly/Rockabilly/Punk underworld that festered in a Berlin still entombed by the Eastern Bloc. Not even the Iron Curtain could stop the spread of the sickness that spewed from the first incarnation of the band, Koefte, Stein and Holly when they blasted headlong into the thriving European Psychobilly scene with their first full length album "Chills and Thrills".

"20 Years In Sin Sin" is a celebration of the lifetime of musical depravity that has epitomized the career of the band. This collection spans the years since their inception back in those squat dwelling days of two decades ago as well as old favorites and rare B-Sides this new album boasts six brand new studio tracks, five which emanate from the poison pen of Koefte De Ville as well as a barnstorming live performance recorded on their triumphant tour of America last year which climaxed at this Hollywood show and was recorded by Moses Schneider. Bad taste never sounded so good and no band does it better than the original wild men of German Psychobilly: Mad Sin. - more on this story

Paul and The Patients Set Release
PR reports: Paul and The Patients and American Myth Recordings are proud to announce the May 26TH release of To The Lions, the debut EP from the New York City 5 piece, and the second addition to the catalog for the Brooklyn based indie recently responsible for putting out Lissy Trullie's critically acclaimed Self-Taught Learner.

Paul and The Patients write songs that blend dark melodies and brooding dissonance, yet remain buoyed by propulsive rhythms that kick along and deftly keep them from sinking into utter oblivion. The compositions fit the blurred memories of late night outings to poorly lit bars, and the guilty gray mornings that follow them. To The Lions, also channels the unease that palpitates below the surface of the excesses of modern day America.

Paul Holmes (Vocals, Guitar) began writing the songs that make up To The Lions as a means of grasping the life that swirled around him. They served more as an act of therapy than anything. His original intentions weren't so much about creating something to perform live so much as a means of purging the emotions and thoughts he held within. He spent long feverish nights in his room, writing and then immediately recording and mixing tracks, creating new material at a prolific pace. Those songs tackled everything from relationships and boredom, to feeling like a king one moment and a total slob the next, and a recently developed heart condition that forced him to think a little more clearly about his own mortality. - more on this story
