Jace Everett Plans Album Release Show Webcast
PR reports: 'Red Revelations,' the new album by singer-songwriter Jace Everett, will make its world premiere on June 22nd, 2009, one day prior to its physical and digital release on June 23rd, in a full-album performance with a five-member band and multi-camera production, webcast in high-definition, live from the stage of the Nashville concert space 12th and Porter.

'Red Revelations' is the third studio album by Everett, best known for writing and performing the irresistibly charged-up rockabilly come-on "Bad Things," the opening theme of the Golden Globe-honored HBO series True Blood. The live debut of the entire album reflects the deep authenticity of 'Red Revelations,' as well as Everett's proven ability to get this close to listeners in recordings and onstage, through his authoritative, cinematic, often sly, and thoroughly seductive roots-music fusion of blues, rock and country.

Also befitting the pure musical inspirations of the album, produced in part by Chuck Prophet (Green on Red) and in part by Everett, 'Red Revelations' will be released in two vinyl formats: standard black, as well as a special limited edition red vinyl pressing, in addition to CD and digital release on the Weston Boys/Haywood Group label.

Third Eye Blind Attempting A Comeback
Submitted News reports: Third Eye Blind is an unprecedented story of a band coming into focus with the help of an entirely new youth culture and causing an underground sensation it's a fan relationship that had driven the band and Ursa Major, their first album in six years (August 18th / Mega Collider).

In a sense, Third Eye Blind's fans are so inextricably linked that they're considered another member of the band.

In 2007 2009, the band performed before a remarkable 1 million people, marking them the most-requested artist at colleges nationwide. Pure and authentic, a canon of songs with no media coverage or radio play have compelled a new generation of followers by organic word of mouth alone. Fans attached themselves to songs like "Slow Motion" and "Motorcycle Drive By," the former of which was censored by their record company but began appearing on file-sharing sites with full lyrics, and is now hailed as a masterpiece being covered by countless other bands. - more on this story

Daniel Merriweather Making a Play For US Fans
PR reports: Australian singer and songwriter Daniel Merriweather will release his debut album, entitled Love & War, in the U.S. out this fall on J Records/Allido Records. Already an enormous hit in the UK, where it debuted at #2 on the British album chart this week.

His current UK single from Love & War, "Red," is currently the #2 most-played song in the UK and debuted Top 5 on the Singles chart, and features stellar guitar work from Sean Lennon and Harper Simon (Paul's son). The first UK single, "Change" (featuring rapper Wale) peaked at #3 on the British airplay chart, debuted Top 10 on the Singles chart, and is currently a Top 10 hit in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria. The album also features "Water and a Flame" a sultry duet with Grammy Award-winning soul singer Adele.

Though Merriweather may be best known in the U.S. as the remarkably soulful voice behind "Stop Me" (a standout track from DJ/producer Mark Ronson's eclectic album Version that went to #1 on the UK's airplay chart), the 27-year-old Melbourne native firmly establishes himself as a solo artist in his own right on Love & War, which pulses with gritty hip-hop beats, '60s soul keyboards and horns, warm textures of acoustic and electric guitar, and cinematic string arrangements, all anchored by Merriweather's combustible vocals.

Kristina Train Sets Release
PR reports: Blue Note Records will release Spilt Milk, the debut album from singer and songwriter Kristina Train, on September 22nd, 2009. Train, who was born in New York City and raised in Savannah, GA, has made an urbane, soulful, and lush debut that showcases her stunning voice. As a vocalist, Train alternates between gentle balladeering and powerful belting, her bluesy vibrato revealing the breadth and elegance of a young Dusty Springfield - a little bit London, a little bit Memphis.

Spilt Milk was recorded in London with Jimmy Hogarth, the sought-after British producer whose recent credits include Duffy, Corinne Bailey Rae, and James Blunt. "Kristina possesses a true classic voice - an effortless delivery with complete commitment to the emotion of the song," Hogarth says. "It was a real pleasure and an honor to have worked on this very special recording."

Powerhouse songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and arranger Eg White (a Grammy Awards Record of the Year nominee earlier this year for Adele's "Chasing Pavements") co-wrote most of the songs with Train, who delivers them so convincingly that the words could be pages torn from her diary. The title track unfolds with an almost cinematic grandeur, its string-laden chorus swelling with widescreen melancholy. Balancing the sultry with the strong, Train excels on bittersweet breakup/makeup numbers like "Don't Remember" and "It's Over Now." As the aphorism of the album title suggests, Train knows how, over the course of a song, to walk away from a relationship with tremendous style. - more on this story

. ISIS - Wavering Radiant
ISIS is a difficult band to review, because the people who hate them are going to always hate them, and the people who love them will pretty much always love them. Both sides already know what theyre in for (4 stars) - Read the full ISIS - Wavering Radiant review

. Devil's Whorehouse - Blood & Ashes
Blood & Ashes is hardly listenable at its best moments, so I do not suggest looking into it. It is the individual's call, but I can make no guaranteed blessings about Devil's Whorehouse and this lackluster full-length. - Read the full Devil's Whorehouse - Blood & Ashes review
