(press release) Swaggering hard rockers Mardo are pulling out all the stops for "Anyone but Me," the relentlessly rousing second single from their self-titled debut CD on House of Restitution Records which will be released on August 23, 2005 - including a new video that is as hot as the day it was shot in the gritty concrete jungle of Downtown LA. Mardo's first-ever music video is an energizing, captivating and controversial assault on the senses that is impossible to take your eyes off of and the accompanying behind-the-scenes footage will show you the another side of these snarling rockers.

Dizzying footage of the band playing atop a gritty urban rooftop (a tribute to classic performances by The Beatles and U2) is cross-cut, in extreme attention-deficit urgency, with the often violent "crusade" of a beautiful-yet-vicious teenager, dressed in a schoolgirl uniform and combat boots, taking on the world in the name of Mardo. You better get out of the way or you're going to get hurt!

Director Leonard Shields and producer Brett Marx are the creative dynamic duo responsible for the cryptic clip and they leave its ultimate meaning up to the viewers. In addition to the video, they have assembled a reel of hysterically candid footage, featuring many of the band's hilarious off-camera antics, reminiscent of MTV's Jackass. These uncensored Mardo "home movies," which showcase the group's lively, tenacious and decadent fun side, will be Posted on Mardo's website, www.mardomusic.com.

Lead singer Aron Mardo sums up the making of Mardo's mini-epic: "All Leonard asked of us was a little blood, a good amount of sweat and a whole lot of rockin' and rollin.' Let's just say he got a little more than he bargained for... and so did we!"
