(Press Release) Rebel Extravaganza, a website based in Detroit, Michigan is the official sponsor of Stonehenge 2006. This one-day eight-band festival focuses on putting the best of Midwestern metal on the stage with four national touring acts, and is to be the first of what will soon become known as an annual tradition. Taking place on May 20th, the weekend before Memorial Day Weekend, and being held at legendary local hard rock/metal venue The I-Rock Nightclub, Stonehenge is an All Ages event, this time focusing on the genre of death metal, tossing a few doom-influenced bands into the pit for variety's sake. Scheduled and confirmed to perform are:KEEN OF THE CROW (California: ex-MORGION)
WRITHING (Michigan: brutal death, ex-END IT)
HUMAN WICK EFFECT (Michigan: expansive, crushing math metal ala MESHUGGAH / BURST)
GODLESS RISING (Rhode Island: ex-VITAL REMAINS)
SUMMON (Michigan: black/death mainstays on Moribund Records)
SHROUD OF BEREAVEMENT (Massachusetts: haunting funeral doom/death)
ELUSIVE TRAVEL (Ohio: death/doom from Cincinnati)
NOCTURNAL FEAR (Michigan: Bulletbelt thrash artillery like GEHENNAH / SODOM) The I-Rock Nightclub
