Bruno Mars Scores Six Grammy Nominations
. The evebt will be held on Sunday, February 12th, 2012 at Staples Center in Los Angeles and will be broadcast live on CBS from 8-11:30 pm (ET/PT). His 24x-worldwide platinum debut album, "Doo-Wops & Hooligans," was nominated as "Album of the Year" and "Best Pop Vocal Album," while the #1 smash hit, "Grenade," was named in both the "Record of the Year" and "Song of the Year" categories, as well as for "Best Pop Solo Performance." What's more, The Smeezingtons � that is, the production team of Mars, Philip Lawrence, and Ari Levine � are among the "Producer of the Year, Non-Classical" nominees, celebrating, among other recordings, "Doo-Wops & Hooligans," along with Mars' featured role on Bad Meets Evil's "Lighters (Feat. Bruno Mars)" and Lil Wayne's "Mirror (Feat. Bruno Mars)." This marks the second consecutive year that the trio has been nominated in this category.
