Iron Maiden Tops Billboard's Hot Tours Chart
. The band launched their Maiden England tour in 2012 in celebration of the anniversary of their acclaimed Maiden England home video which was filmed during their 1988 Seventh Tour of a Seventh Tour world wide trek in support of their "Seventh Son of a Seventh Son" album. The band kicked off this chart topping leg in May and the final six shows of the trek earned $8.5 million from 121,280 tickets sold, giving the band the top spot on the Hot Tours chart. Iron Maiden closed out the tour with a sold out two night stand at the O2 Arena in London on August 3rd and 4th and the band will next embark on a short run of dates in North and South America that will bring the epic world tour to a close on October 2nd.
