(The Blues) Mud Morganfield and Kim Wilson have released their version of Just To Be With You, recorded by Morganfield's father Muddy Waters in 1956. It's taken from For Pops, the pair's 14-track tribute to the late blues icon, set for launch on August 19 via Severn Records in the year of what would have been his 100th birthday.

Label boss and producer David Earl says the project came about after the launch of Morganfield's album Son Of The 7th Son and the Fabulous Thunderbirds' On The Verge. "The phone was ringing off the hook," Earl recalls. "The subject was always the same - 'You have to get Mud and Kim to do an album together.'"

The pair are joined on For Pops by Chicago blues guitarists Billy Flynn and Rusty Zinn, pianist Barrelhouse Chuck, bassist Steve Gomes and drummer Robb Stupka.
