(Radio.com) Was Lana Del Rey's The Guardian interview, in which she claimed she wished she was dead already, romanticizing death? The daughter of a famous musician who died young sure thinks so.

"I wish I was dead already," Del Rey said in a headline-making interview posted last week as she talked about how her heroes, Amy Winehouse and Kurt Cobain, escaped the difficulties of making music by their untimely deaths. While she went on to dispute the interview, throwing out countless insults to the interviewer via Twitter, the attention she received from the article only escalated and had Cobain's daughter angered.

Cobain's daughter, Frances Bean Cobain, has since shared her issues on Twitter with the way the singer referenced death. Cobain was just an infant when she lost the Nirvana frontman to suicide when he was 27.

"The death of young musicians isn't something to romanticize," Cobain tweeted in a string of messages directed right at Del Rey's account. "I'll never know my father because he died young & it becomes a desirable feat because ppl like u think it's 'cool.'" More.
