Brian Wilson, Weird Al, Conan and More Tribute George Harrison

(Radio.com) Getting Brian Wilson, the Strokes, "Weird Al" Yankovic, The Flaming Lips' Wayne Coyne, Steven Drozd, The Killers' Brandon Flowers, and Spoon's Britt Daniels in one room seems like it'd be an impossible mission - but it happened Sunday night, all in the name of George Harrison.

At Los Angeles' Fonda Theatre, the late Beatle received a tribute concert from a wide range of musicians, who covered some of his greatest songs. Brian Wilson and Beach Boys' Al Jardine put their spin on "My Sweet Lord."

Yankovic sang "What Is Life," Brandon Flowers did "Got My Mind Set On You," Black Rebel Motorcycle Club covered "Art of Dying," and "Old Brown Shoe" was performed by Conan O'Brian-who dedicated last week on his show to Harrison, with performances from Paul Simon, Beck, Norah Jones, and Dhani Harrison.

These tributes to Harrison aren't coincidental: they were timed with the release of George Harrison: The Apple Years 1968-1975 via Capitol Records, out now.
