Special Johnny Winter Vinyl Release For Record Store Day
. (The Blues) Alligator Records have confirmed the launch of a Johnny Winter special for Record Store Day on April 18. The annual event seeks to offer additional reasons to visit independent retail outlets on the big day. It's My Life, Baby - The Best Of The Alligator Records Years is a vinyl album containing material recorded by the later Winter during his two years with the label. They say: "Upon joining the family in 1984, he wanted to record nothing but authentic, deep blues. Guitar Slinger, his Alligator debut, was widely hailed as his best and bluesiest album ever. The next year, he followed up with Serious Business. His final Alligator release, 3rd Degree, featured several special guests and an array of blues styles." Read more here.
