The Who's Pete Townshend Doesn't Like Live Shows
. In his words, 'The shows? I don't like them. I don't find them fulfilling," Townshend said to Uncut while promoting the band's 50th anniversary tour. "But I'm brilliant at it. I find it incredibly easy. I drift through it." It's hard not to empathize with him: 50 years into any project, most likely anyone would have a hard time still seeing the thrill of it. That goes double for when you're doing the same thing over and over again, performing the same songs in Townshend's instance. 'It's like being able to make a pair of shoes and knowing that you've got to a point that whenever you make a pair of shoes for somebody they're going to last them for life," he continued.
